PennKey is the username that a person gets when he or she signs up for the PennKey authentication system, which allows users to access the networked systems and services of the University of Pennsylvania. The University of Pennsylvania only provides faculty, staff, employees, and students with a PennKey, however, conference attendees and volunteers can get a Non-Persistent PennKey, and sponsored guests such as consultants, programmers, volunteers, research collaborators from other institutions, CHOP and VA Hospital personnel can also get one until they finish their work at the University.
